The Trinity CertTESOL (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is the closest rival to the Cambridge CELTA course, and it is rapidly increasing popularity with trainees and employers is not to be underestimated. Very similar in structure to the CELTA, this programme also provides trainees with 6 hours of teaching practice, alongside input sessions covering language awareness and teaching methodology.
