Course Description
The length of the course is 120 contact hours. In order to pass, candidates are required to:
Complete 6 hours of teaching practice
Observe 6 hours of lessons taught by experienced teachers
Maintain and submit a portfolio of course work

Teaching Practice (TP)
Teaching practice is undertaken in small groups of 5-6 trainees with volunteer students at two different levels. Feedback sessions, led by a course trainer, follow each teaching practice session and are also a key component of the course. Trainees are expected to liaise within their teaching practice groups outside of course hours in order to plan teaching practice classes within guidelines set by the trainer.
A Typical Day
To give you a flavour of how you might be spending your time on the course, here is an outline of a typical day:
9.30-11.00 Input: methodology and language analysis with your trainer.
Workshops, discussion, pair work, group work and problem solving.
11.15-12.45 Feedback and Lesson Planning.
Your trainer will provide written and oral feedback on the strengths/weaknesses that you demonstrated in the classroom the previous day during TP. You will also have the chance to discuss your next lesson with your trainer to ensure you feel confident and prepared.

3.15-5.15 TP
Putting the skills you are learning into practice. A total of 6 hours observed practice is the requirement over the course. Over the 4 weeks you will teach 2 lessons of 30 minutes, 6 lessons of 40 minutes, and 1 lesson of 60 minutes.
Homework (3 to 4 hours)
With a portfolio to maintain, lessons to plan, and three written assignments to complete over the course, you'll always have something to occupy your evenings!

Price : 16,000 Baht (31m square metres) + 16,000 Baht Deposit / 24,000 Baht (58 square metres) + 24,000 Baht Deposit.
Prices are based upon a 4-week stay; from the Sunday prior to the course commencing to the Saturday after the course finishes. Extra nights are possible at the rate of 600 Baht per night for the studio, 1,000 Baht for the two-bedroom apartments-when available.
Location : Sathorn- a 20/25 minute shuttle bus ride from Surasak BTS Skytrain Station. Surasak station is just two stops away (4 minutes) from the training centre.

School Details - Bangkok Silom Road
The school is part of the IH World Organisation (IHWO), which has been at the cutting edge of teacher training ever since it was founded in the 1950s. Course participants will undertake training at an institute that is dedicated to professionalism, reflected by the fact that the school itself only hires teachers who have the CELTA or equivalent. The teacher trainers actually include a contributor to the renowned Headway series teacher's books.
Although it ibelongs to an international network, the school is small enough to care. The centre believes that it is able to offer the personal touch to CELTA students and that its impartial job/career advice will be of added value to those starting out on a career in TEFL.
Located in the heart of the business and entertainment districts, its new, modern, and well-resourced premises are accessible by BTS SkyTrain, MRT Underground and the Public Bus system.
