Customer Feedback
The course was demanding and intensive. I learned a lot and am glad I took it.
Tomasz Janiewicz
It is intensive, hard work, but not beyond someone who is dedicated's capabilities. I believe it is everything it should be, and thoroughly worth doing.
Peter Jennings
I really enjoyed the school and the trainers were absolutely great!! All the resources we needed were there and the trainers helped us in every way possible. I was very happy with the way the courses were designed and I would definetely further recommend the course.
Susanna Hoelscher
Course Description
The CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is intended for those without previous experience in ELT and for teachers with some experience but no previous training in ELT.
Success in the CELTA has enabled many candidates to obtain their first teaching position and the course is highly regarded by employers as providing sound, initial training. It has a strong practical bias, with daily teaching practice. The CELTA is recognised internationally and over 7000 people take the course every year worldwide.
Admission requirements: The course is open to both native speakers of English and those whose first language is not English. In either case a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Candidates are usually university graduates. Participants must be at least 20 years old by the date of the start of the course.
How to apply: Submit a completed application form and pre-interview task. We will then contact you for an interview, which may take place over the phone if you are not resident in Wroclaw.
Course Content: The course comprises approximately 60 hours of "input" (demonstration and discussion of teaching techniques plus language awareness activities); daily teaching practice; 8 hours observation of experienced teachers. Specific areas covered are:
Language analysis and awareness
The learner, the teacher and the teaching/learning context
Planning for effective teaching of adult learners
Classroom management and teaching skills for teaching English to adults
Resources and materials for teaching English to adults
Professional development for teachers of English to adults
