Customer Feedback
The school and the quality of trainers were excellent all round. The course was extremely demanding but very well taught and now over, a very rewarding experience indeed.
-Harry Bucknall-
The school was extremely professional and the facilities were excellent. The course is very intensive, really tough and demanding. Our trainers made sure that we were all up to date with the amount of work we had.I am extremely impressed with their professionalism!
-Rossella Romano-
The school is very well equipped and all trainees are encouraged to use all the facilities available. The library has a huge number of books covering all TEFL related subjects. All staff are friendly and accommodating. The tutors were great and very supportive - and absolutely brilliant teachers themselves. It was a very positive experience all round. I never thought it was possible to learn this much in such a short period of time.
-Klaudia Holland-
I thought that the school and the trainers were excellent and had lots to offer. The course was well planned and executed, it was helpful and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to teach and the contact that you get with so many different people from lots of different cultures. I liked the fact that my trainers were very approachable and helpful.

Course Description
This is a highly practical course providing initial training in English language teaching to adults. It aims at laying a firm foundation on which you can build your experience.
Through a series of seminars and practical demonstrations you will develop your practical awareness of
- Learners
- Language
- Materials
And practical ability in
- Classroom management
- Lesson planning
- Introduction and practice of new language
- Developing the skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing
Teacher practice is a major component of the course and takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in two, 3-week blocks on part-time courses. The programme is closely related to the work done during the seminar sessions. You will work as part of a small group of five or six trainee teachers to obtain practical experience in working with classes at different levels. Liaising with each other, you will produce a series of cohesive lessons. After each teaching practice session, the lessons are discussed with the tutor.
Observation of practising teachers is an intrinsic part of the course and takes place outside class hours, as does guided observation of videoed lessons and preparation for teaching practice.
Assessment is continuous. Teaching skills are of the greatest importance but all aspects of your performance and work carried out on the course are taken into consideration. During your course you will be kept informed of your progress by written commentary on your teaching practice and by tutorial (This may be formulated in terms of passing or failing)
Our Teacher Training issues a graded certificate-report. The grades are Pass A, Pass B, Pass or No Certificate Awarded. Candidates who successfully complete the course are also awarded the Cambridge Certificate.
To attend the course you must:
- Have a standard of education which would allow entry to Higher Education in your own country
- Have a competence in English, both written and spoken, that enables you to follow the course and complete all the assessed elements successfully
- Be at least twenty years of age
