School Details - Hobart
The Tasmanian College of English is a University of Cambridge Teacher training centre and nationally accredited English language college located in Hobart Tasmania. The Tasmanian College of English is a member of the International Association of Language Colleges (IALC) and accredited in Australia by through State government.
The college commenced offering the Cambridge CELTA in 1998 and works closely with its sister South Australian College of English and Whitsundays College of English.
The Tasmanian College of English is located in a beautiful colonial three storey mansion within a 10 minute walk from Hobart city and waterfront. It is surrounded by beautiful trees and garden in a large relaxing heritage garden.
Hobart is situated at the mouth of the Derwent River, close to the sea and nestling under Mt Wellington. The city hosts the famous City to Hobart Yacht race each January. Hobart is also close to wildlife parks where visitors can see many of the distinctive Tasmanian mammals as well as other Australian wildlife.
