Customer Feedback
Considering the shortness of the course, I was surprised by the amount of work covered. Our tutor was professional and very calm, and I was impressed by her ability to keep the group motivated and moving forward.
I was pleased with the help I received about my initial enquiry and in general thought that the service was very efficient.
-Sue Jarvis-
The trainer was excellent and the schools' facilities were perfect. The course was very good indeed, from the content to the people involved it was first rate. The atmosphere in the group and the way the trainer encouraged participation in a relaxed environment.
-Simon Thomas-
The trainer was excellent.
The course was a very useful introductory session for someone like myself who has not taught languages before.

. builds your confidence.
There are five main units of learning:
. Learners and teachers, and the teaching and learning context

You will be assessed throughout the course, with no final examination.
Teaching practice
Students will teach, and observe other students teaching for a total of six hours, using fellow students in place of real EFL students.
What is the actual format of the course?
3 day TEFL training courses are run over three week days - Monday to Wednesday.
The courses are held in university/college classrooms. Venues are centrally located, and easily accessable by public transport and car. Parking is free of charge or low priced.
There are a maximum of 14 students on each course. The course provider is keen to ensure that their students receive the best possible training and this can only be achieved with small class sizes.
There is at least one trainer on each course, while on some courses we use two or more trainers - often when we are training new trainers.
The course is split into modules, all which must be attended to gain certification. Full details of what is in each module can be viewed here.
The course is a mixture of lectures, free activities, controlled activities, teaching preparation and practice and role play. We aim to keep TTT (Teacher Talk Time) to a minimum since this is the most effective way of students learning a great deal in a short period of time and this is one of rules of teaching when you become an EFL teacher.
Tea and coffees are served throughout the course, with lunches being available either onsite or close by.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be at least 16. It is generally recommended that students should be aged 18 or over, but students aged between 16 and 18 can be accepted at the course provider's discretion.
Applicants must have an awareness of language and a competence in English, both written and spoken, that enables them to undertake the course and prepare for teaching a range of levels.
Applicants must have the potential to develop the necessary skills to become effective teachers, attend all modules of the course and successfully complete the teaching practice.
Payment is required at the time of booking and must be paid online or over the telephone.
The fees for the course are due 2 weeks prior to the course date. Fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation by you after this time unless we are able to fill your place.
