The 20-hour Weekend Course
The 20hr weekend course will give you the basic training you need to be an English teacher. In just one weekend you will learn the skills and methodology that will give you the confidence to get out there and teach.

You will enjoy a fun, interactive and high-impact course. The Weekend course gives you the chance to work in front of a group and interact with others in a simulation class setting.
Over the two-day course you will be introduced to all the essential TEFL areas you need to walk into a classroom with confidence.

The weekend training will provide you with a valuable opportunity for face-to-face classroom instruction, getting a feel for what the classroom setting is like which enables role-playing opportunities that you could not take advantage of through our online course.

The Weekend TEFL course lasts two days from 9-8 on Saturday and 9-6 on Sunday. There will be short breaks where refreshments will be provided. (Lunch is not included.)

Course materials are included in the price. You will have an on-line tutor who will guide you throughout your course and you will be provided with a certificate and letter of recommendation upon completion of your course.
This Online TEFL Course consists of 13 interactive modules, starting from the very basics of EFL teaching, all the way to developing your own lesson plans. During the course you will have the support of online tutors and experienced helpdesk staff to answer any TEFL questions you may have!

On average the course takes a student 60 hours to complete, however with six months to complete the course, you can do this at your own pace and fit it in with your already hectic schedule!

Grammar Awareness Course Modules
This Grammar Awareness course is specifically designed to de-mystify the complexities of English grammar, so you can effectively communicate the key principles to your students. This 20-hour online course re-introduces you to the fundamental structures and concepts that underpin the English language and will effectively prepare you to teach these same lingual models to your students.

Module 1: The Nuts and Bolts of English (5 hours)
Start your grammar training with a look at grammar terminology, word classes and parts of speech.

Module 2: English Tense Forms (5 hours)
Learn how verbs are used to form tenses in the past, present and future. By the end of this module you�ll know the difference between the continuous, perfect and conditional forms!

Module 3: English Tense Functions (5 hours)
In this module you�ll learn how different time references can refer to different tenses and how the same tense can have different functions.

Module 4: Vocabulary and Phonology (5 hours)
In the final module you�ll concentrate on words. You�ll learn about how they sound, how they are pronounced, how they are spelled and how we can categorise them.

Specialist Modules
These specialist modules have been specifically designed by TEFL trainers to provide bespoke training to fulfill the needs of our students and language schools worldwide.
Each specialist module takes approximately five hours to complete and combines auto-correction with online feedback from the online tutors.
You'll automatically be enrolled on the first four specialist modules listed below when booking on your course. If you wish to swap these just let us know!

Module 1: Teaching with Limited Resources (5 hours)
Particularly useful for people wishing to teach in developing countries. You'll be taught how to give an effective English lesson with only basic resources.

Module 2: Teaching English to Young Learners (5 hours)
Designed for TEFL students who are planning to teach children between the ages of 6 and 12. Learn key skills such as motivation techniques and how to give someone their first English lesson.

Module 3: Teaching Large Classes (5 hours)
This new module is ideal for anyone teaching in Asia, where large classes from 30 to 100 can be common. A practical course to give you the confidence to step into your first large class.

Module 4: Teaching English One-to-One (5 hours)
When you start teaching abroad, you'll always find opportunities to do private lessons and earn extra cash. Learning what to do with your first one-to-one student is essential for any first time teacher.

Module 5: Teaching Business English (5 hours)
Perfect for people who plan to teach more advanced students with the aim of helping them to develop their communication skills for business. An expanding and extremely lucrative market.

Is it for you?
To join the TEFL course you should have:

� Native or near-native English fluency
� A minimum age of 17
� One free weekend to take the course
� A desire to teach people to speak English

Non-native speakers should have a reasonable standard of English, i.e. a level equivalent to Cambridge Advanced (CAE) or IELTS 7.5.
No academic qualifications are required - enthusiasm is the only thing you need.


School Details - Glasgow Ramada

The course takes place at the Jury's Inn hotel, Glasgow.

The hotel is adjacent to Central Station, overlooking the River Clyde and is easily accessible from the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.

There will be tea and coffee served throughout the weekend, but please remember to arrange your own food and accommodation.
