Sheffield Hallam is one of Britain's most progressive and innovative universities. It has earned that reputation over many years, and it's confirmed by a number of official measurements and assessments which cement Sheffield Hallam's position as, overall, a leading UK university of its kind.

The university's e-learning system is a rich new resource for both teachers and students. It is one of the most extensive and advanced at any university in the country. Its role in education and research is national and, increasingly, international, and of course e-learning increases its international reach.

The university has invested millions of pounds in its Learning Centres, which bring together library services, computing and multimedia facilities. As well as books, periodicals and other printed material, it provides access to hundreds of databases and specially produced key internet resources.
