Course Description
If you want to teach English to adult learners, CELTA is the best known and most widely taken initial 'TESOL/TEFL' qualification of its kind in the world. Although the CELTA may be a little more expensive than other TEFL courses, it is by far the most widely recognised initial qualification for teaching English in the world. An investment, not a cost!
Added advantages of doing the CELTA is that it can also be taken as Module One of the Certificate in Further Education Teaching Stage 3 with the Certificate for ESOL Subject Specialists, which is a qualification for teachers who want to specialise in teaching English in Further, Adult and Community Education in England and Wales. Another possibility is to take the much sought after University of Cambridge ESOL “Young Learners Extension to CELTA” course, which will allow you to teach children as well.
This particular course comprises 130 hours of tuition, as opposed to the 120 hours prescribed by Cambridge (which is a minimum number of contact hours).
The school has a small but very dedicated and experienced team. Between them they’ve run more than 50 courses and pride themselves on working withtheir candidates so each and every one can get the most from the course.
They are there to train, guide and assess you, never to judge or criticise you.
Once you have your qualification, employment prospects are good. There are about 150 private language schools in Milan alone, and schools are always on the lookout for qualified teachers.
Accommodation Options
If you need assistance with accommodation, please let the school know as they will be able to help. You should budget in the region of 400 Euros per calendar month.
