Course Description
The CELTA Certificate is the most widely recognised qualification for entry to the ELT profession. It is a well-established qualification which has an excellent reputation both overseas and in the UK. This 4-week full-time course consists of lectures, workshops, lesson observation, teaching practice and feedback. Trainees are continuously assessed by course tutors, and assessment is moderated by visiting Cambridge assessors.
To apply, you should complete an application form and pre-interview task. Tutors will then select suitable applicants for interview. Where appropriate, qualifications and experience in any field will be taken into account when selecting for interview. We take particular care to select only those whom we believe have a reasonable chance of passing the course. Acceptance, however, is no guarantee of success.
It is not necessary to buy any books to complete this course. However, we will recommend some useful key texts, mostly for reference purposes, and of value when you begin your teacher career.

Accommodation Options
Homestay accommodation can be arranged on a half-board basis at a cost of £94 per week.

The university is highly prestigious, and unlike many, has a long history of running Cambridge CELTA and related teacher training courses in the field of English and other languages. This is reflected in the relatively high course price, and the tricky application form! We thoroughly recommend this course however, and standards at the campus are excellent.

3. Download the application form and save it on your computer.
4. Complete it offline in your own time
5. Go back to www.cactustefl.com, sign in and submit your completed form.
6. We will keep you posted by email throughout the process.
You can also submit an application by fax, or post. We will explain how to do this on the application form. Please contact us if you would like us to post you an empty application form.
