TEFL Costa Rica
TEFL course and TEFL Jobs in Costa Rica
Volcanoes, rainforests, coral reefs and beautiful beaches are just
a few of the elements that make up this country's incredible landscape.
With coasts on both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, Costa Rica boasts
a pleasant year-round climate and incomparable ecological diversity.
Sea turtles, two-toed sloths, squirrel monkeys, and manatees are just
a few of the creatures to be found on Costa Rica's long list of natural
treasures.
Characterized by social and political stability, high educational levels,
and an efficient infrastructure, Costa Rica’s society is as impressive
as its scenery. Not to be overlooked are the Costa Rican people, or
"Ticos," who are famous for their friendly hospitality and
fun-loving attitude. In fact, the appeal of this tiny nation is such
that many visitors never want to leave. The estimated 80,000 people
who have moved here in recent years have found that Costa Rica is not
just a great place to travel, it is a great place to live, to work and
to call home.
The TEFL training center is located in Manuel Antonio, a small town
on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast less than 100 miles from the capital
of San José. Manuel Antonio has made a name for itself worldwide
for its stunning natural parks, white-sand beaches, scenic views, and
abundant tropical wildlife. The training center is uniquely situated
to take advantage of the area’s natural beauty. Overlooking the
beach of a national park, the center has 12 open-air classrooms, a large
lobby area in which to study or socialize, and a beautiful outdoor terrace
that provides an extraordinary view of the rainforest edging up to the
ocean. Inside the school, trainees have access to phone and fax services,
as well as to computers and the Internet.
Manuel Antonio’s natural diversity allows for a variety of outdoor
activities, including horseback riding, kayaking, rafting, hiking, dolphin-watching,
and scuba diving. These natural attractions are complemented by plenty
of social options, as both Manuel Antonio and the nearby town of Quepos
have a variety of restaurants, stores, hotels, and nightclubs. Manuel
Antonio makes a great place get certified and to prepare yourself for
an English teaching position in bustling San José or in any of
the smaller towns throughout this beautiful country.
