Cactus TEFL Privacy Policy

Your personal details (all the details you give us at the time of making an enquiry or an order including your e-mail address) will be collected by our database and stored on our Cactus database (which is geographically located in the United States) for the purposes of communicating with you (in the case of your order) and our own marketing purposes.

Your details are not processed by third parties and will never be given to third parties without your approval. The information on the Cactus database is only accessible to Cactus employees and the school course providers to whom you make an application via Cactus.

Mailing List
If you agree to sign up to our mailing list, you will receive monthly email newsletters pertinent to langauge learning and teaching, but only the newsletters produced by Cactus in-house.

Credit Card Details
Where payment has been made by credit/debit card, we will keep your credit/debit card details in our database only for the time it takes to process your payment (not usually more than one or two working days). After that, your card details will be removed from our database although a hard paper copy may be kept in
our offices or with our bookkeepers.

General Security at Cactus
Our database is encrypted with 128-bit encryption. Cactus offices (where card details may be kept) are locked with four levels of security and protected by burglar alarm systems which are connected 24 hours per day to the British police who will
respond immediately in the event of a break-in.

All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. Cactus are registered with the UK Data Protection Controller - registration number Z6777190.
