We have been offering the Trinity CertTESOL course in Royal Holloway in cooperation with the Modern Language department for over 20 years. The Trinity Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) is one of the leading entry level TESOL or TEFL qualifications. The course is designed for those with little or no experience of teaching English to non-native speakers. The course will give you a comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of contemporary English language teaching, and an insight into the challenges facing the learner and the role of the teacher.

Timetable The course is 4 weeks and 2 days, starting on a Thursday.
From Monday to Friday, the teaching practice usually takes place in the mornings and the class sessions in the afternoons, where you look at teaching methodologies, work on language awareness and get guidance on your teaching practice and assignments. There is always evening and weekend work to do throughout the course as this is when you will need to prepare your lessons and write up assignments so best not to take on other commitments during the course.

The course is 4 weeks and 2 days, starting on a Thursday. Usual hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm for classes. There is always evening and weekend work too duration of the course.

The school is one of the top providers of junior courses in the UK so trainees on the teacher training courses have a fast track application system for any opportunities. There are always teaching positions in July and August, as well as teaching some year-round groups. We have a session on the course dedicated to career advice and we also pass on any opportunities sent to us by schools looking for teachers to all our graduates.
