School Details - Granada

We are a dynamic teacher training center in the heart of Granada. Our courses take place in a traditional, friendly, well established language school which has taught countless students for well over half a century.
Facilities: Extensive library, internet and computer access, air-conditioned classrooms, staff room.

Course Description

For almost 60 years we have helped thousands of people with their English. Every year more and more people enroll on our courses and countless numbers leave with world class English language qualifications. In order to help people learn English effectively it is crucial to have well trained teachers who are able to teach English competently and completely. For this reason we offer the CELTA course.

This is a certificate level course which teaches people how to teach English to speakers of other languages. These courses are tailored to give candidates the skills, tools and confidence necessary to impart English clearly and communicatively. Our rigorous selection procedure ensures that we train only candidates who really want to teach English; they have a passion for breaking down and putting across language and a desire to be the best professionals they can.

A typical day starts at 8.30 where trainees have teaching practice where there teaching is observed. This is followed by feedback where trainees are given constructive comments into how the lesson went and what they could do to improve their teaching. Then there is an input session, such as how to teach grammar. Before lunch there is a time where trainees have guided teaching practice preparation; with the help of a trainer, trainees plan and prepare their next class. After lunch there is another input session, such as teaching receptive skills, and the day ends at about 5pm.

Customer Feedback

'Overall it is very well organised and worthwhile. Sometimes very overwhelming and tiring, INTENSE is the word, but most important, a lot learnt!'

'I consider myself very fortunate to have chosen this school as the centre in which to study for my CELTA. I deliberately chose it over other centres because I was attracted by its marketing and approach and my experience exceeded my expectations.'

'Overall, a very intense and rewarding course that has challenged and engaged me. I found the team very professional, yet approachable, and without them the course would not have been as enjoyable, nor constructive. Please keep training more CELTA students like this - it is a great approach that produces results.'

'Thank you so much! It was a very intensive, but definitely a worthwhile course! I learned so many things I can put into practice. Thanks for your comments, help and support. The course really focuses on the practice/teaching which I liked most.'
