Cactus TEFL is the only online TEFL course admissions service, working on behalf of course providers to promote their individual courses and the TEFL industry as a whole. Cactus TEFL was born just over 3 years ago when we sent a handful of prospective teachers on CELTA and TESOL courses in London. Since then we have enjoyed huge growth and success, and in 2005 we sent over 1,000 people on TEFL courses worldwide.
We current list over 200 TEFL courses in over 70 different locations, the majority of which are Cambridge CELTA and Trinity CertTESOL courses.
Cactus TEFL Out There
The Cactus TEFL website, www.cactustefl.com, attracts over 20,000 unique visitors per month.
Each year Cactus TEFL produces its own Little Book of TEFL, which we send out to all UK Universities and Career Services. We regularly distribute information to the media, including newspapers, magazines and websites such as EducationGuardian.co.uk, where our partner schools can publish their own personal articles. We also organise successful TEFL Taster Seminars throughout the year.
Why Should You Join Cactus TEFL?
Cactus TEFL can make a significant difference to your course numbers. Over 1,000 new applicants used the Cactus TEFL admissions service in 2005. How that number might impact on your organisation is very much down to you. You can use Cactus TEFL to top up your existing groups or, if you have a sudden shortfall in numbers, we’ll do everything we can to keep your course running. Cactus TEFL also includes a TEFL Jobs section, where Cactus TEFL partners can advertise free of charge.
How Does It Work?
Cactus TEFL's basic rate of commission is 17.5% on courses fees (not exam fees). We try to keep this at an acceptable level, lower than typical rates for General English courses. The only other cost is a one-off set up fee of £145.00 to get all your information up and running on the website. This one-off payment also gives you unlimited access to the Cactus TEFL Jobs section, where you can post job offers for your school.
