Additional Information
After graduating I pursued a career in Psychology. I gained work experience in various roles; mainly care work and administration. My position with Creative Support in Manchester involved helping people with mental health problems live independently in the community. I completed two courses in Counselling to help me in this role. After working as an Assistant Psychologist for a few months I decided a career in Psychology was not for me. After working in a temporary capacity for a year I decided to continue my studies (MA Social Anthropology). I am now interesting in pursuing a teaching career. I have experience as a Classroom Assistant in Aston, Birmingham with the Community Service Volunteers as a full time placement for 7 months. Through this position I gained some insight about issues affecting children from an underprivileged, multi-ethnic background. I would like to do a TEFL course and teach English in another country in order to gain some more recent teaching experience as well as travel and see a different part of the world.
